Full Membership
TexasView membership is open to Universities, Colleges, Jr. Colleges and other Institutions of Higher Education with an interest in promoting remote sensing technology. It is not necessary that a member institution have an active remote sensing teaching program before joining TexasView. In fact, membership is a great way to help establish a program, or enhance other programs with remote sensing and other geospatial technologies. Through TexasView, your institution will have access to software, data, training, teaching materials, curriculum guides, and expertise to help kick start a new program or refresh an existing one. Some of the advantages to TexasView membership include:
Free remote sensing software (PG_Steamer)
Access to tons of free remote sensing data
Discounts on remote sensing data
Free training modules, classroom materials and ideas
Access to a community of geospatial experts
Access to TexasView Research and Education Grants (TVREG)
Association with the top experts in the field
Affiliate Membership
Affiliate membership in TexasView is open to local, regional, tribal, state and federal governmental entities as well as non-governmental entities, K-12 teachers, schools, and school districts. Affiliate members enjoy all of the benefits of TexasView membership with three exceptions: 1) Affiliate members do not vote; 2) affiliate members are not entitled to certain software and data access (This is because of licensing restrictions imposed by certain of our vendors); and 3)Affiliate members are not eligible for TVREG. In other words, affiliate members have all the advantages of full members except where policy or legal restrictions prevent it.
